The Duston Teaching School Alliance values the importance of continuing professional development at all stages of your career. It is key to ensure that you are able to develop the skills needed to ensure improvements for your school, your pupils and yourself.
We are committed to providing CPD opportunities that have a real impact on both yourself and the school and also believe that this cannot be truly met through one-off training days.
All our courses are designed with a key element; collaborative learning. This means that as well as gaining the theoretical and practical skills from our face-to-face sessions, we have embedded school visits into each programme to ensure that our specialist course leaders are able to support you to make key organisational changes in your own school. This ethos applies to courses whether they are linked to improving classroom skills or leadership. School visits are there to support you in your own environment with your own staff and pupils so you can ensure the investment makes a real difference and a real impact.
Additional school visit days can be organised through our Director of Teaching School.
All our courses are run by specialists with at least 2 years leadership experience in their area of expertise.
